# Connecting

Pick your client. You need the server URL from your Taurus-PROTECT administrator.

#### Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)

#### Open Connectors

Open **Customize > Connectors** and select **Add custom connector**.

#### Enter details

Enter a name, such as *Taurus-PROTECT*, and the server URL. For the OAuth client, keep **Use Claude's published identity**.

#### Connect

Select **Add**, then **Connect**. Sign in to Taurus-PROTECT in the browser window that opens, and approve.

> **Info**
>
> On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector once, under **Organization settings > Connectors**; each member then selects **Connect** under **Customize > Connectors**.

#### Claude Code

```bash
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http taurus-protect https://mcp.example.com/mcp
claude mcp login taurus-protect
```

A browser opens: sign in and approve. If your administrator gives you a client ID, add `--client-id <id>` to the first command. `claude mcp logout taurus-protect` signs you out.

#### Any other MCP client

The client must support remote MCP servers over streamable HTTP and OAuth 2.1 sign-in with PKCE, discovering the authorization server from the server URL.

Your administrator must also allow the client, either through its published client metadata document or by registering a client ID for it.

> **Warning**
>
> Clients that support only API keys, static tokens or local servers cannot connect.
